Young woman in costume

Tommy Crellin (or Richard Bell?), Shanghai 1923

In this East Meets West, tradition and modernity, studio tableaux, c.1923, two Chinese opera actors meet the celebrity of the day: Charlie Chaplin – or at least Tommy Crellin dressed up as Charlie Chaplin. Photo published in Kodak Magazine Vol IV, No 2, July 1923.

(NOTE: That was the caption to this photo in Kodak Magazine, however, this really looks like Richard Bell from the 1922 Chinese film 'The King of Comedy Visits Shanghai by Embassy Films.
